Wonderstruck.

"Love is a beautiful word, and shouldn't be feared. I would never want ya to second guess ever saying it."

My response?

"I've said it a lot, but I don't regret saying it because at the time that was something I felt strongly & that's something no one can take away from me. People deserve to hear that they're loved. I think some people don't hear it enough."

-
This leads me to write what I look for in a man.

"Boys want to win your heart. Men want to treasure it." -Courageous

Someone who is compassionate.
-He loves his own family & learns to love mine.

Someone who is passionate.
-He has goals, plans & a future is willing to share them with me.

Someone who is faithful.
-He makes me feel like I'm the only girl in the world.

Someone who is caring.
-He is willing to take care of me when I'm sick & wipe my tears when I'm sad.

Someone who is a lover & a fighter.
-He fights for what he loves.

Someone who is funny.
-Once he makes me laugh, he is capable of owning my heart.

Someone who is willing to make sacrifices.
-He is willing to adjust and put up with my crazy life, just as I would for him.

Someone who is giving.
-He loves with 110% of his heart. It takes two to make a relationship work.

Someone who is strong.
-He catches me when I fall.

Someone who is willing to go to church with me.
-My faith is a big part of my life. It's something I can't give up or change.

Someone who is willing to go to crazy places & vacations with me.
-He is willing to attend Black Friday Shopping in Wisconsin or Disneyworld with my family.

Someone who is aware that the little things mean the most.
-He texts me, surprises me, and makes sure I know that I am thought about.

Someone who is patient.
-He takes his time with me. He is willing to wait and listen.

Someone who isn't trying to take advantage of me.
-My virginity is not something that I'm just throwing away.

Someone who gives advice and is encouraging.
-In a relationship, we must build each other up every day.

Someone who is sassy.
-He is willing to be sarcastic and maybe, sometimes rude (in a playful manner).

Someone who is honest.
-If he isn't honest, he isn't worth it.

Someone who is respectful.
-He respects me, his mother, his elders, and most importantly- my father.
If you want to one day ask for my hand in marriage, my daddy is the one you're asking first.

Someone who is fun.
-He is adventurous, willing to go out to Cedar Point, haunted houses, concerts & other various activities.

Someone who is determined.
-He is a hard worker in all he does.

Someone who has dreams.
-He shares his dreams with me & allows me to help in whatever way that I can.

Someone who enjoys public display of affection.
-He wants the world to know I'm his girl and isn't afraid of showing it. Anywhere.

Someone who is calm.
-He can relax me when I'm stressing out over nothing.

Someone who never gives up.
-When we get in a fight, he wants to fix it- not get even.

Someone who can secretly be five sometimes.
-Nothing is hotter than a boy who will color or watch Disney movies with me.

Someone who is a leader.
-He is admired and a good person.

Someone who has an incredible personality.
-He is never boring and shines in everything he does.

Someone who is fearless & willing to love me no matter what it takes.
-Together, we can conquer the world.

Someone who looks like Zac Efron.

Don't Stop Believing

Sometimes I think I take life too seriously and other days, I don't take life serious enough. I understand that I am young and have plenty of years ahead of me, but I don't want to miss an opportunity.

Lately, I've been scared of falling in love. I don't want to waste time with the wrong person. I don't want to give all I've got to find it all thrown away. I understand that all guys aren't the same, but we'll see if someone can prove that to me and sweep me off my feet.

I'm honestly not looking for a relationship right now or willing to settle down. If someone came along and changed everything, maybe- but right now, I'm just doing me.

I did awesome my first semester of college then fell apart during my second semester. I'm not only embarrassed of myself, but disappointed. I made a promise to myself to focus on what's important. I could care less in high school and I never want to gain that mentality ever again, especially now that I'm in college.

Besides gaining focus of what is important, I've recognized things that make me really happy..

  • Conversations with Rob
-He understands me better than most. I can always count on him and love hearing his opinion.
  • Glee!
-It's my new addiction. I mean c'mon.. Hello Finn & Noah! I secretly wish my life was a musical.
  • Slurpees
-I've been drinking at least two a day with my official diagnosis of bronchitis.
  • Notes on my receipts when I waitress
-It's encouraging. It's the little things that make me happy.
  • Neon shorts
    -Enough said.
  • All my new friends at Scramblers
-Regardless of random kitchen melt-downs, we are a family and family sticks together.
  • The colors: purple & blue
-I'm obsessed with them! They're cool colors and I just enjoy them. Don't judge me! :)
  • Red Hair
-I'm sticking with it this time. I don't know why I even changed it.
  • Blue Eyes
-I'm a sucker for boys with blue eyes.
  • Second Chances
-You individuals know who you are. Please don't make me regret it!
  • Sam & Evan
-Ev left for the Army and Sam has been his biggest fan. I want a love like theirs.
  • Gummy Worms
-My brother just bought me some & I'm stuffing my face. Get over it.

Spring classes, Kalahari, The Avengers, Alexa's play and the Mother/Daughter banquet are all this month!
Let's see what God has in store for me this month.. let's hope for lots of flowers! ;)
